Even old guys can still rule! Judas Priest & Queensryche rules at a new venue in Houston.

Queensryche hit the stage at promptly at 8pm. The minute they hit the stage it was game on! The first song “Queen of the Ryche” sounded so amazing, I could not believe my ears! Whether you are a fan of Todd La Torre or not you cannot deny that the man can in fact sing. The second song “Warning” kept the momentum going during the outstanding performance. The crowd was loving it and why not? The band was showing that they are still going strong. Queensryche just released a fourth album with La Torre and it sounded better live than the album! The light show and stage props looked amazing. The highlight for the crowd besides the whole show (lol) was “Eyes of a Stranger” the place went absolutely nuts! Hopefully they will have a headlong tour sometime in the near future. Loved every minute of the show.
Todd LaTorre (vocals)
Micheal Wilton (guitar)
Eddie Jackson (bass)
Casey Grillo (drums)

Now for the Mighty Judas Priest…

I had never got to shoot or review Judas Priest even though, I had seen them several times so this show was extra special.
Picture it…The lights go dim and a giant Judas Priest logo lowers and lights are shooting out of it everywhere. The band hits the stage with their opening song: Electric Eye, a classic that gets the crowd on their feet immediately! The giant video screen in the background was showing footage from 50 years of an illustrious career. The second song, “Riding on the Wind” shows just why Rob Halford and the boys were a candidate for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Metal God was showing that old guys can still show the young ones how it is done. The set list spanning 50 years of metal masterpieces was perfect and lasted 90 minutes. One of the greatest highlights is when Rob Halford rides a motorcycle on the stage to sing “Breakin The Law” and is always a crowd favorite. The band which consists of:
Rob Halford ( vocals)
Richie Faulkner (guitar)
Andy Sneap (guitar)
Scott Travis (drums)
Ian Hill ( bass)
This band deserved the Rock Hall induction!
