My Chemical Romance Welcomes Houston to the Black Parade

My Chemical Romance headlined at the Houston Toyota Center on September 27th, 2022 with support from Midtown, and Devil Master on their much anticipated reunion tour! The tour was set to begin in 2020, but was postponed to 2021 and later rescheduled to 2022 due to the pandemic. The award winning band officially announced their split on March 22, 2013. This tour announcement was a pleasant surprise to everyone after nearly a decade without them touring. MCR’s set began with their latest single “The Foundations of Decay” and was soon followed by their hit single “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)”. The setlist was comprised of a great variety of their full discography. They ended the night with “Helena”, an iconic song that represented an era. This sold out event was one for the books, bringing old and new fans together! They left everyone wanting more and had people speculating what the word “Swarm” means. This word was incorporated into all of their tour merch and memorabilia with an image of a fly. It could be representing their new single “The Foundations of Decay”, but hopefully it’s much more!
